Travelling throughout Europe and stayed in Rome for new years. We wanted to indulge in a Michelin restaurant and found this place recommended online. Could not be told what the menu was beforehand when trying to make a decision between a la carte, 5 course and 8 course. We weren’t pleased since we were spending up to 95 euros per person - it was a ‘surprise’ we were told, and we noticed that other past reviewers have mentioned the same. Dishes were decent and two were delicious (the succulent pigeon meat and the beginning appetisers), but we found the last dish a bit strange - a savoury cheese pasta dish (which followed after the sweet dessert we had leaving a weird taste in our mouths). Overall food was good and well priced but not mind blowing or amazing as we hoped for with the Michelin status. But the food presentation was very creative and fun, and the service was attentive, quick (did not catch the waitress’ name unfortunately), and personable. We were also given extra dishes. Thank you.
Asked the service staff what the tasting courses were, was told that there is no menu. They change everyday. We pressed for the details of each course before making a decision of whether to choose the tasting menu or the a la carte but …
If you’re reading this you probably found this either through Michelin’s guide or Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy. It was no different for us, and unfortunately we were disappointed in our tasting menu meal. The service, taste, plating, …
Incredible, unique and perfectly executed flavors. Especially loved the cacio e pepe and the mascarpone basil dessert.
We came here as a special treat on the last night of our honeymoon in Italy, and wow - this took us out with a bang! …
Having seen Bistrot 64 on Stanley Tucci's Italian doco I was keen to go.
We had the vegetarian degustation of 5 dishes and it was an amazing gastronomic journey of exotic complex flavours applied to an Italian context.
An absolute must go to when in Rome.
I know when in Rome do as the Romans do but; this place is an amazing dinner experience; and the in Rome... …
The experience was amazing 👏 The food, wine, and staff went beyond expectations. We did a tasting menu and did not regret it. Each course was perfectly delicious. My favorite was the ravioli. It was hard to choose as each bite from each …
The restaurant is located in an unpretentious, somewhat residential neighborhood and dinner service starts at 630pm, as with our reservation. …
This was a really disappointing meal, in a city where amazing food is around every corner. We had the 5 course tasting menu with carbonara as an extra starter. Textures were off throughout every dish - amuse bouche tart cases were too …
